Experience Level: Medium to Experienced  (2-5 years of production growing and running a business, winter greenhouse growing, understand how to calculate crop profitability, established market for flowers including during the Winter months)

Anna Jane will go into detail on the flower varieties, planting schedule, techniques and expenses of adding Winter crate growing with heat to her farming practices. High risk comes with high rewards, but also losses. This study session is targeted for experienced growers who are seriously considering adding this intense growing season to their work load.  Anna Jane will break down the cost structure, profit margins and realistic elements to accomplish growing flowers in crates throughout the Winter months in zone 6b Rhode Island as well as giving a detailed tour of the crops currently in production in the heated greenhouse.

These are intended to be an interactive study session with an experienced grower running a profitable flower farm. A pdf outline of the educational talk will be sent ahead of the session

*Check the temps and weather beforehand….this will run RAIN OR SHINE….Come dressed for Winter Farm-big boots good for walking on unsteady ground/icy/snowy/wet conditions, many layers, bring notebook and pencil, water and snack if needed.
