Power Flower Study Session: Marketing to Florists-online only

Experience Level: Beginner to Medium (for someone who currently does NOT sell to florists, wants to market to MORE florists, or is considering it)

For the first 30 minutes, Anna Jane will go into detail on the floral design industry and how florists are accustomed to buying and selling flowers. She will share how she has built up her professional relationships with her clients for a profitable symbiotic relationship. She will break down her effective marketing style and techniques as well as demonstrate her powerful wholesale website that all her clients use weekly and how to translate those orders into an effective harvesting schedule. During peak season, her farm can be serving up to 50 florists per week and all her clients now work within her ordering system quite seamlessly.

***PLEASE NOTE-Anna Jane’s teaching style is comprehensive, concise and fast paced. We do NOT record the sessions. These are intended to be an interactive study session with an experienced grower running a profitable flower farm. A pdf outline of the educational talk will be sent ahead of the session along with a google meet link so be prepared to use this forum for the study session.

The second half of the session will be dedicated to answering a question from each of the participants in a group study session format. To get the most out of this session, here is a suggested preparation list:

*research how many florists are within your farm scope, do they already buy local product?

*analyze your current production-where to scale up to create more bulk offerings, repeatedly and professionally throughout the season-are you adding a new market? Do you need to hire help or drivers?

*for florist sales, you will need a walk in cooler-if you do not have one, research and budget for one ASAP
