Power Flower Study Session For Growers: Heated Greenhouse Crate Growing Over Winter-Online Only

Experience Level: Medium to Experienced  (2-3 years of production growing and running a business, winter greenhouse growing, understand how to calculate crop profitability, established market for flowers including Winter months)

For the first 30 minutes, Anna Jane will go into detail on the flower varieties, planting schedule, techniques and expenses of adding Winter crate growing with heat to her farming practices. High risk comes with high rewards, but also losses. This study session is targeted for experienced growers who are seriously considering adding this intense growing season to their work load.  Anna Jane will break down the cost structure, profit margins and realistic elements to accomplish growing flowers in crates throughout the Winter months in zone 6b Rhode Island.

*PLEASE NOTE-Anna Jane’s teaching style is comprehensive, concise and fast paced. We do NOT record the sessions. These are intended to be an interactive study session with an experienced grower running a profitable flower farm. A pdf outline of the educational talk will be sent ahead of the session along with a google meet link so be prepared to use this forum for the session.

The second half of the session will be dedicated to answering a question from each of the participants in a group study session format. To get the most out of this session, here is a suggested preparation list:

*review your current planting schedule regarding cool Winter flowers

*do you have reliable heated greenhouse space already? review heating costs through Winter
