Power Flower Study Session: Overwintering Cut Flowers in Unheated Greenhouses-ONLINE only

$125.00

We offer these consultations in a 1 hour study session and you can choose your date and time slot from the drop down menu.

Experience Level: Beginner-Medium (1-3 years of flower production, basic knowledge of succession planting and seasonally appropriate crops to your growing region)

This session will include 30 minutes detailing the systems that Anna Jane and her team use to successfully season extend their cut flower production to gain a 4-6 week jump on field production. With three unheated high tunnels on her farm, Anna Jane will break down the succession planning and philosophy of her unheated greenhouse growing plan. She will share her succession planting schedule and techniques on her key crops that she has success overwintering in Rhode Island zone 6b with a salty microclimate.

*PLEASE NOTE-Anna Jane’s teaching style is comprehensive, concise and fast paced. We do NOT record the sessions. These are intended to be an interactive study session with an experienced grower running a profitable flower farm. A pdf outline of the educational talk will be sent ahead of the session along with a google meet link so be prepared to use this forum for the study session.

The second half of the session will be dedicated to answering a question from each of the participants in a group study session format. To get the most out of this session, here is a suggested preparation list:

*review your current planting schedule regarding cool Winter flowers and succession planting

*review current soil test from greenhouse as well as current planting bed preparations
